5 Questions to Ask Yourself When Hiring a Christian Life Coach

Are you considering Christian coaching as a tool to meet your biggest goals?

If you're considering working with a faith based life coach, here are 5 questions to ask yourself first!

5 Questions to Ask Yourself When Hiring a Christian Life Coach

1) Have I acknowledged that what I'm doing isn't working?

Sometimes we have to get to a place where we are so frustrated with the status quo in order to try something new. And that's okay! What's important is what you decide to do once you get to that place.

2) Am I open to exploring new possibilities?

If you are willing to humbly recognize that your current approach isn't working (see #1 :) , coaching may be for you! Coaching will entail experimentation- you'll try new strategies and ways of thinking. It might feel like you're being stretched at times, but I promise, it'll be so worth it and you'll receive the best support and encouragement (custom to you!) along the way.

3) Do I have the margin to implement?

Coaching involves action. And action requires time & energy. To experience the best results, it will be important to dedicate time not only to your coaching sessions, but for some breathing room to do the work required coming out of the sessions. (And know that you are going to want to do these things & will likely be super motivated!).

Also, GSCC's coaching packages offered range from about 3 to 6 months- this is what we've found tends to produce the best results (and oftentimes, clients will extend coaching with sustainment session packages.)

Coaching requires both discipline and doing- if that sounds like you, coaching could be a great fit!

4) Do I have the finances to invest?

You may want to ask yourself, "What will it cost me if I don't say yes?" Consider the time, energy, and resources you have already extended... yet if you're reading this, there's a good chance the results you crave are likely still out of reach. Make this time different! Yes, you may need to set aside some funds or challenge yourself to cut back in some areas... but, the practice may also serve as an opportunity to cultivate healthier spending habits. Just like anything, if you're committed, you will find a way! GSCC's coaching packages range from $2700-$3600 for one time payments (monthly payments are available as well.)

5) Am I ready to let God take a bigger role in my life?

One of the very best parts of coaching with GSCC is that it all centers on the Lord! If you're feeling prompted for God to play a bigger part in your life and how you live it, Christian coaching is going to help big time. We listen for Him, start and end sessions in prayer, connect our conversation to takeaways from God's word, and more. He's going to come alive in your life, in maybe even a bigger way than you've ever experienced. You don't want to miss out.
