When You Need a Hug From God

Do you sometimes just feel like you need to fall into God’s arms?
Maybe having a good cry would feel like just want you need.
Maybe you are so desperate to find rest and love & comfort in His embrace.
Sometimes we need to be reminded of God’s abundant love, and his presence in everything.
We need to be reminded that we are daughters of the king.
He loves us so deeply and wants the best for us, his daughters.
Sometimes when I experience sadness or longing, I simply need to be comforted by Jesus.
I need to reflect on His abundant blessings. On His promises to us.
In these delicate moments, try journaling about how God has shown up for you.
How has He provided for you? How has he shown His presence?
Personally, I reflect upon blessings that He has provided for me. He has provided a home, a move to a place I love, a great job, and friendships. I think about how He has shown He is with me. Sometimes it’s through a sermon that speaks directly to my heart. Or, it’s been when I have taken a leap of faith and He provides reassurance that I’m walking in the right path.
What love notes is God leaving for you? Are you listening and watching for them? How are you savoring what He has provided?
Pour into Him and his word as He is pouring into you, and you will experience His sweet and loving embrace.
