What to Do in Warfare

Hey sister-

We are all being challenged in ways we couldn’t have imagined right now…

Maybe you’re in shock that this is real life.

Maybe you feel short of breath when you wonder how long this is really going to go on.

Maybe you’re shaken by our failing economy.

Maybe you or someone in your family is at extra risk to catch this virus.

Whatever it is- you are not alone.

Today’s post is going to dig into what to do when you’re in warfare.

Whether it’s because of the coronavirus, or whether you’re walking through other unforeseen challenges, here are a few tips on what to do when you’re in warfare.

First- allow yourself to feel!

What is it that’s hard right now?

Is it your circumstances?

Is it frustration with how you’re handling things?

Allow yourself room to press in and process what’s going on.

Then, prayerfully consider your relationship with the Lord.

How have you invited Him into this challenge?

Are you placing anything in front of or between your relationship withHim?

What is the state of your spiritual health over the past few weeks?

James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

What is it that you need to submit to the Lord?

Is it your expectations?

Your attachment to the outcome?

Are you consumed more with the gift than the giver?

Are you more focused on the problem than on God?

Ask yourself, “What do you need to surrender, trust Him with, and leave at His feet?”

Then consider, when you give this to Him… how will life change?

What growth might He have in store for you through this process?

What will it feel like to be on the other side of this?

Friend - I pray that these simple questions provide significant hope. I pray that you’ll experience transformation through your reflection & prayer with Him and that these questions act as powerful prompts. God is unchanging, sovereign, and mighty to save.

And one more thing- I’d encourage you to not only invite Him in in a bigger way, but also consider who you can share your new perspective with! Who else needs this message? Or, who would lovingly hold you accountable to your commitments? With Him and through community, we don’t have to do it alone.

Want to meet together for a 1:1 clarity call where we’ll explore your biggest challenges & goals? You’ll leave feeling more focused, uplifted, and hopeful than before. Learn more and grab yours here.
