Top Takeaways from an Evening with Joyce Meyer... What to Do When You Want to Walk Boldly with God

walking boldly with God, a teaching with Joyce Meyer

Are you familiar with Joyce Meyer?

About 10-15 years ago, at a library booksale, I remember picking up one of her devotionals... 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life.

I took it with me when I was in consulting and would read it on the airplane, page by page (even though it was a devotional, it nourished my soul in a way I deeply needed at the time.)

Then came the Confident Woman devotional. It was a Christmas gift in 2013 (do y'all remember specific dates and instances, too?). I took my sweet time going through that devotional. I'm talking, I even remember pulling it out close to five years later in 2018 as I was getting ready to leave my corporate job to pursue Christian coaching full time.

All that to say, Joyce's words have been a part of my faith life and walk with God over the years.

A Fun & Faith Filled Girls' Night Out..

So when I saw Joyce Meyer was coming to Charlotte to speak on walking boldly with God, I was thrilled!

I grabbed two of my best girlfriends and we huddled in our winter coats in a seat high up in an arena to hear her share God's word. And it was powerful.

Here are some of the takeaways Joyce shared that stood out in a big way and pray that they may bless you, too.

What to Know When You Want to Walk Boldly with God:

  • "You’ve got to be under authority before you can be in authority."

  • "Courage is going forward in the presence of fear."

  • "You have to do what God is telling you to do and leave the results in His hands."

  • "Help others get ready for when God comes back."

  • "Learn how to let go of control and love it. The only person God calls us to control is ourself."

  • "People stay busy looking at everyone else so they don’t have to look at themselves." (see Matthew 7:1-2)

Will always be encouraged and amazed by the wisdom available in God's word and women like Joyce who are truth tellers.

In Christ,

Alexandra
