Called to Coach: On Becoming a Coach (AND an Author!)

Updated: Jan 12, 2020

Happy November, friends!

I hope you have had an amazing start to your day & month and have some excitement in store over these next few weeks. (It kind of feels like the unofficial start to the holidays, if you ask me!)

And speaking of excitement...have any of y'all created a bucket list? Or a vision board?

If you don't already have someplace where your dreams & goals are outlined, make it happen!

(Or if you do, go back to yours and update them!)

Start in prayer with the Lord and ask Him to reveal where He needs you to focus, and where He needs you to be His hands & feet. And if you're stuck, simply start by thinking what brought you joy in your early years.

For me, growing up, I found so much fulfillment through reading and writing. My first memory of my response to the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" was "An author." And now, my friends, I can say that dream has come to fruition!

I'm excited to share with y'all that I'm a contributing author, along with a number of other certified life coaches, in a newly released book from the Christian Coach Institute (where I was trained!), titled Called to Coach: 50 Inspirational Stories of Christian Coaches Who Answered God’s Call. (You can purchase on Amazon now, if you'd like! If you read it, let me know if parts of your story overlaps with mine!)

Curious to learn how I got into coaching, or are considering coaching yourself? Or, do you simply want to be inspired and uplifted by stories of God at work, and begin to see more clearly where He might be calling YOU?

Friend, God has a unique purpose for you, too. The road towards it will likely be bumpy, but oh-so-worth it. (Hang in there! And, let's talk if you need some encouragement & accountability!) As Henry T. Blackaby shares in Experiencing God (an intense, but AMAZING bible study study!), "We don’t choose what we will do for God; He invites us to join Him where He wants to involve us.”

Bravely ask God where He wants you. Dream BIG with Him and be open to His leading. He gifted you with specific passions and talents to be used to glorify Him. He created you for a specific purpose for this very time.

Perhaps you were born for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)

And as always, if you'd like a partner to come alongside you so that you can trade overwhelm for focus, clarity, and direction- let's talk and get you moving forward. Christian coaching is truly a powerful tool, y'all (Check out some love notes from past clients to hear how GSCC has been one of their biggest blessings.)

With joy!

Alexandra
